Rolling Stone is een twee-wekelijks Amerikaans muziektijdschrift dat opereert vanuit New York. Het magazine wordt als een autoriteit in de mainstream rockwereld gezien. In de Verenigde Staten heeft het blad een oplage van meer dan een miljoen. Daarnaast kent het tijdschrift lokale edities in Australië, Argentinië, Spanje, Duitsland en Frankrijk.

Website: Rolling Stone werd in 1967 opgericht door Jann S. Wenner, die nog altijd aan het hoofd staat van het blad. Al snel groeide het uit tot een van de invloedrijkste culturele en politieke tijdschriften, waarin de bijdragen werden geschreven door grote namen als Hunter S. Thompon en Cameron Crowe.

Het blad telt 72 pagina's, waarvan méér dan de helft uit reclames bestaat. De vormgeving heeft soms nog een zweem van de hippiejaren (ouderwetse fonts, verschillende lettertypen door elkaar). Eénvierde van het blad wordt gevuld met recensies: albums (14 recensies), TV en films.
